Artwork Guidelines
To ensure the highest quality customisation and avoid unnecessary delays or additional charges, please review our artwork guidelines below.
If your artwork isn’t in a suitable format for customisation, we can convert (re-draw) your file to the correct format for a fee of £25.00. Don’t worry—we’ll notify you and request your approval before proceeding with any re-drawing work
PRINT:
Vector AI Files and EPS Files
Vector Illustrator (AI) and EPS files are our preferred file types. These formats ensure crisp, high-quality results as they maintain clarity no matter the size. You can easily distinguish a vector from other formats—when you zoom into a vector, the edges remain sharp and free of distortion. In contrast, zooming into a bitmap reveals blocky, jagged edges.
Please avoid converting a bitmap file into an AI or EPS format, as it will still be a bitmap and unsuitable for use. If needed, we can re-draw the file for you for a fee.
Pantone Spot Colours
All colours should be converted to Pantone spot colours. In software like Illustrator, individual colours can be selected and changed to their Pantone equivalents. Refer to your software documentation or search online for guidance on how to do this.
For screen printing, each colour is printed separately, one layer at a time. This is why we require colour-separated files, allowing us to print each colour accurately and maintain the quality of your design.
Embedding Fonts and Converting to Paths or Curves
If your logo includes fonts or typefaces, they must be converted to paths (or curves, depending on your software). This process transforms the font into a graphic object, ensuring it remains unchanged.
If fonts are not converted, and we don’t have access to the exact typeface used, we won’t be able to accurately reproduce your artwork. Converting fonts guarantees your design appears exactly as intended.
TIF and PSD Bitmap Files – Suitable for Single-Colour Prints
Artwork files in TIF or PSD format must be created at the actual print size (or larger) and have a resolution of at least 300dpi at that size. Colours should be separated into layers.
Please note that this is not our preferred method, and additional costs may apply if the file requires further adjustments. Important: These file types are not suitable for CAD cut designs.
Adobe PDF Files
PDFs should be created from vector files and must retain their editable properties.
Please avoid converting a bitmap file into a PDF, as it will still remain a bitmap and be unsuitable for use. If this occurs, a re-draw fee will apply to make the file usable.
EMBROIDERY:
High-Resolution JPG, BMP, TIF, EPS, and AI Files
We accept all file types, provided they are of high resolution for optimal quality.
For first-time customers, there is a one-off £15 fee to convert your logo or graphic into an embroidery format (digitising). Once created, your embroidery design will be securely stored on file for future orders. Embroidery text setup incurs a £5 fee.
Artwork Approval
After submitting your artwork, we’ll provide an artwork proof for you to review and confirm that everything is correct.
The proof will be sent to you via email, where you can either approve it or request any necessary changes. Rest assured, we won’t proceed with printing your order until you’ve given your approval.
